About the Hillsboro Area Chamber of Commerce

The Hillsboro Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, voluntary organization
of citizens working together to support Hillsboro and make it a better place to
work and live. The Chamber and its many volunteers have invested their time and
money to work together and accomplish objectives that are impossible to do
alone.

The Chamber unites businesses, professional
firms, organizations, and individuals as a central
point to better the community. As a result, the
Chamber is a strong and effective voice for the
business community and is heard and respected
by local, state and federal leaders in government
and business.













Mission
The Mission of the Hillsboro Area Chamber of Commerce is to enhance quality of
life and growth of the Hillsboro Area through the promotion of tourism and civic
pride in the rich agricultural, commercial, industrial, and historical base of Hillsboro
as the seat of Hill County.

The Chamber has provided essential grant money for revitalization projects in the
historic downtown area, assisted with fund raising efforts, sponsored parades, and
promoted special events.

Your Chamber Acts as the Business Voice in Local, State, and National
Governmental Affairs
The Chamber promotes pro-business initiatives such as affordable health care,
education K-12 and Community College initiatives, insurance reform and lessening
the burden on property taxes. We also host town hall meetings with State
Representatives and Senators, as well as U.S. Senators and Representatives.

More than 95% of our membership consists of small businesses or individuals and we
understand that over 80% of the annual job growth nationally can be attributed to
